Three principles
No bookings here
We help you decide. Booking happens on partner sites or directly — on your terms. If you book through our Camping.info link, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
No paid rankings
No banners, no sponsored placements. Our affiliate partnership with Camping.info never changes which camps we show, their scores, or the ranking order.
No tracking
We don't follow you across sites and don't sell your data. Saved camps stay on your device.
How we score camps
Every camp gets a FindCamp Score from 0 to 10. It's built from three independent signals:
Public guest ratings
Star ratings from public campsite ratings platforms — how thousands of past guests rated the camp overall.
NLP sentiment analysis
We read 390,000+ guest comments and score them across 13 indicators.
Recency & confidence
Newer comments count more. Camps with few public comments get a "thin signal" flag so you know what to trust.
What the score means
Magnets re-rank the list around your priorities. Deal-breakers hide camps that score under 5.5 on a locked indicator.
13 quality indicators
From the comments we score each camp on these signals — only when there's enough data:
- Shade — how shaded the pitches actually are
- Noise & quiet — sleep quality, road noise, party guests
- Cleanliness & sanitary — toilets, showers, kitchens
- Family-friendliness — kids' facilities, vibe, services
- Scenic setting — views, nature, atmosphere
- Beach quality — access, sand vs pebble, water
- Staff & service — friendliness, helpfulness
- Maintenance — upkeep of pitches and facilities
- Entertainment & animation — kids' clubs, evening shows
- Value for money — is the price fair for what you get
- Crowd & privacy — pitch spacing, density
- Wi-Fi quality — does it actually work
- Food quality — restaurant, shop, breakfast
Data sources
- Camping.hr — official Croatian campsite directory
- Public campsite ratings platforms — guest comments and ratings
- Campsite websites — official facility lists, season dates, pricing
All data is refreshed on a rolling schedule. The "Last analysed" timestamp on each camp tells you how recent the comments are.
What we don't do
- We don't book camps for you — that's not our role
- We don't run ads or sponsored rankings
- We don't sell your data — we don't even track you across sites
- We don't fabricate scores — every score comes from real public comments
- We don't hide low scores — if a camp's bad, you see why
